The FINANCIAL -- A global food chain partnership project between Bayer CropScience and UNIVEG Group has borne new fruit, with the successful first shipment of high-quality grapes from India to Europe.

The FINANCIAL --  Veridex, LLC  announced the publication of a new, investigational study published this week in Science Translational Medicine that lays the foundation for research that may potentially result in a blood test to determine imminent risk of heart attack within high-risk populations.

The FINANCIAL -- GSK confirmed that it will invest more than £500m in the UK across its manufacturing sites to increase production of key active ingredients for its pharmaceutical products and vaccines. 

The FINANCIAL -- GlaxoSmithKline announced today that the Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee to the US FDA voted 11 to 2 that evidence from clinical studies support a favourable benefit – risk assessment for use of Votrient in treating patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma who have received prior chemotherapy, noting that those with gastrointestinal stromal tumours and adipocytic sarcomas were not included in the Phase III trial.  The ODAC reviewed findings from one Phase III clinical study and one Phase II study.
