The prestigious awards recognise outstanding achievements by quoted companies and their management teams.

David Radcliffe, Chief Executive at HRG, received the award earlier this week and comments: “It is very satisfying to accept this award on behalf of HRG.  To be named as small and mid cap company of the year for 2011 is a superb achievement.  It is proof not only of the success of our business strategy and model but also to the unwavering commitment given each and every day by our staff and the excellent service they provide to our clients.”

HRG faced a tough shortlist to win the award.  It was noted by the judges that HRG faced very demanding trading conditions in the recession.  However the company’s focus on a differentiated technology-led offering, combined with impressive service levels, has delivered high client retention rates and good new client wins.  HRG’s recent results confirmed that the company is continuing to make good progress and strong cash flow has reduced the debt burden.

Charlie Cottam, Managing Director of Broadwalk Asset Management LLP, adds: “It’s been a very impressive performance to come through these difficult markets in such good shape, and the HRG market share gains speak for themselves.”
