UPS Confirms Talks with TNT Express

The FINANCIAL -- In response to the announcement from TNT Express NV, UPS confirms that, on 11 February, 2012, following discussions with TNT, it made a revised, increased and comprehensive proposal to acquire the entire issued share capital of TNT for EUR9 per share in cash.

According to United Parcel Service of America, discussions between the parties concerning this proposal are ongoing, although there is currently no certainty that any agreement will be reached. Further details will be provided when appropriate.

This is an announcement as referred to in article 5, paragraph 2 of the Decree on Public Takeover Offers.
